With her virtuoso playing and musical openness, the cosmopolitan Cathrin Pfeifer has been one of Europe’s leading ethno, jazz, and world music accordionists for years.
She is invited to perform at major festivals around the world, gives concerts from Brazil to Hong Kong and from Mozambique to Siberia—sometimes with local musicians—composes film scores, and has released eight CDs. The musician has developed her own unique sound, shaped by her classical accordion training, her numerous travels and world tours across four continents, as well as her work in a wide variety of genres and with a diverse range of musicians.
