EXHIBITION OPENING - OTTO BECKMANN
Born 1945 in Knüppeldamm/Mecklenburg, 1967-70 studied at the PH Flensburg, specializing in art, since 1970 exhibitions at home and abroad parallel to teaching, since 1985 freelance, lives in Hamburg
The painter and graphic artist Otto Beckmann is represented in the ebe gallery with 50 prints. His graphics are of a special format, he works with different techniques in a virtuoso manner and in parallel in a short time and can arrive at the most diverse formal inventions. He prefers etching, whose diverse possibilities he explores through experimentation. He often underpaints or collages his printing papers before printing, resulting in unique prints.
