The potato rose is a very popular plant. The flowers exude a pleasant fragrance and honeybees and bumblebees can be seen foraging for nectar. The fruits can be made into jam and are also popular with birds.

But does it make sense to plant them here in a coastal region? Jörg Schmiedel (landscape planner from Rostock) will provide you with some astonishing insights and interesting facts about this popular ornamental plant.
