We finally have our new home in Demmin. With great music, plenty of space, and fantastic offers, we want to celebrate this with you!
Demmin is getting a new venue for music, art, and cultural exchange: The kultur.schule Demmin is moving into a larger building at Saarstraße 23. What makes this special is the close-knit local community, as the kultur.schule will share the new building with the adult education center (VHS) in the future. With the new location, both institutions will finally have the space they need to accommodate their growing programs and bring education and culture even closer together.
Until now, the kultur.schule Demmin was located on Clara-Zetkin-Straße. There, dedicated work was carried out for many years, albeit under limited space constraints. The move to the building of the former special education school on Saarstraße now marks an important step forward. The building offers significantly more space for music lessons, group rehearsals, and creative projects. In addition, for the first time, dedicated rooms for art classes are being created, including a studio. As a cultural school, the institution will thus bring music, art, and community together even more closely under one roof with the VHS.
kultur.schule and the Adult Education Center (VHS) would like to celebrate this new beginning together with the entire region. On September 4, starting at 4:00 p.m., the doors at Saarstraße 23 will open for a grand opening celebration that will last well into the evening. Guests can look forward to a varied program that offers a lively glimpse into the school’s creative work.
The stage will come alive with music and color: Performances by students and teachers will range from delicate soloists to ensembles, accordion and brass music, and rousing rock tunes. From classical to hard rock, there’s something for every taste. Regional performers, such as hunting horn players and the group Irremurxx, will also be taking part. Another special highlight for young and old alike will be the Talent Campus with its creative circus project.
All interested parties, neighbors, families, and friends of cultural education are cordially invited to explore the new spaces, enjoy great music, and celebrate the new location together. Refreshments will also be provided.
