A cultural and historical gem is opening its doors. The Buchholz Village Church is opening its doors to the public for the nationwide Open Monument Day.

The simple brick building, its historic furnishings, and its location in the old village center give the church special significance and make it a striking testament to northern German architectural and regional history. Under the theme “NetzWERKE Monuments & Infrastructure,” we cordially invite you to experience this church firsthand.

The Program

  • 10:00 a.m. – Welcome and introduction; brief overview of the church’s history
  • 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. – Guided tours, explanations of the building’s history, the interior furnishings, and the unique features of the church interior
  • 5:00 p.m. – Musical performance: Concert for organ and trumpet by Christiane Werbs and Christian Packmohr
