Hands-On Rescue: At the open house in Neustrelitz, guests can look forward to an exciting afternoon focused on air rescue, emergency medical services, volunteer work, safety, and hands-on activities for the whole family.
To celebrate the “30th Anniversary of Air Rescue at the Neustrelitz Site,” the German Red Cross, together with the nonprofit ADAC Air Rescue, the Mecklenburg Lake District District Association, and the German Red Cross Hospital in Neustrelitz, is hosting a special open house.
Visitors can look forward to a varied afternoon with exciting insights into air rescue, emergency medical services, volunteer work, and important safety topics. Hourly guided tours will give visitors the chance to explore the “Christoph 48” air rescue station up close.
The ADAC rollover simulator impressively demonstrates how crucial vehicle safety can be in an emergency. In addition, the ADAC Accident Research Department will provide information about its work, while hands-on activities will allow visitors to refresh their knowledge of first aid and CPR. Volunteer organizations will also be on hand to showcase their work, including medical services, water rescue, therapy dog teams, and the “Teddy Ambulance.”
For younger guests, there will be a bounce house, a painting workshop, and other activities to explore and participate in. The fire department, police, emergency medical services, ADAC Air Rescue, and the hospital will offer exciting insights into their work at various information booths. Food and drinks will be available.
