The Museum of Everyday Culture of the Griesen Region and the Old Synagogue in Hagenow are currently hosting two special exhibitions. Two guided tours with the respective curators in October 2026 will offer fascinating insights into the world of coffee and tea, as well as an exciting life story spanning India and Mecklenburg.
On Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., Andrea Kaufmann will lead a tour of the popular exhibition “Volle Kanne – Genuss in der Tasse” at the Hagenow Museum. The tour will not only trace the history of these former luxury goods but also include the chance to sample and enjoy various hot beverages.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Old Synagogue, Thomas Kühn will lead a tour of the recently opened special exhibition “From Bangalore to Hagenow.” The exhibition is dedicated to the well-traveled photographer, writer, and hunter Hermann Wiele (1860–1924) and his extraordinary life story spanning India and Mecklenburg—but the focus is on a European’s perspective on colonial India some 100 years ago.
