More than 1000 employees from around 100 different professions work for the oceans at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency. The open day on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the federal authority provides an exciting insight into the BSH's wide range of tasks.
On October 3, 2025, the BSH is offering an exciting and informative program from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the topics of marine surveying, wreck searching, nautical charts, the state of the sea, the offshore energy transition and water level forecasting.
In addition to two research and surveying ships, which will open their gangways to all guests, there will be many information stands, lectures, hands-on activities and a book flea market.
For refreshments, there will be a range of drinks and snacks and a selection of homemade cakes.
The BSH. Shipping. Climate. Data. And a lot of sea.
