Already 20 years ago, Meryl Streep, as Miranda Priestley, stepped into the role of the female boss of one of the world’s most famous fashion magazines with glamour, self-confidence, and determination—and in doing so, did a great deal to shape the image of successful women in the media. And it’s a great pleasure to watch the actress—now 76 years old—as she, with sparkling energy, a radiant presence, and in glamorous, dramatic, bright-red gowns, not only carries the film, but also its premiere events around the world into a runway.
We’ll be welcoming our guests starting at 8:30 p.m. with the (complimentary) Cinema Royale summer cocktail. Delicious grilled bratwurst will be served.
