The “Night of the Tiles” kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall with a uniquely informative and entertaining tour through Boizenburg’s historic district, featuring the beautiful tile murals illuminated that evening. The tour will conclude with a fun get-together at the First German Tile Museum.
Throughout the more than 100-year history of designing and producing high-quality tile products in Boizenburg/Elbe, master craftsmen have repeatedly created artistic motifs, some of which—particularly special ones—can be admired at the First German Tile Museum.
In addition, for several decades now, artistically sophisticated and meticulously crafted tile murals—particularly works by tile artist Lothar Scholz—have adorned the facades of buildings in Boizenburg’s historic district.
