"NEXT, PLEASE" is an idiom—a simple, friendly yet distant request that can carry various associations, undertones, or ironic connotations, depending on the situation and tone of voice.
We’re familiar with the phrase from the service sector—at government offices, events, or the doctor’s office. “NEXT, PLEASE” means it’s the next person’s turn in line and makes it clear that the focus isn’t on the individual, but rather on keeping a system running smoothly.
Visitors to the exhibition are challenged to draw their own conclusions and engage in reflection.
