Richard invites everyone over for dinner and announces to his wife, his mother, and his best friend that he’s won the lottery. However, he also tells his loved ones that he’s decided not to claim the prize. To his surprise, he finds that his “heroic” act is met with utter incomprehension by his wife Claire, his mother Rose, and Etienne. They don’t find the decision funny at all. The battle for the lottery ticket begins. Come what may! In the process, the lines between love, friendship, and greed quickly blur. How far will the three of them go? This pitch-black comedy celebrates the power of money as “the strongest of all drugs” and shows how quickly ideals shatter when wealth comes into play.
