Cabinet exhibition of the Wolfgang Koeppen Archive Greifswald
"I have never forgotten my mother's fairy tale word ..." Wolfgang Koeppen's stories
Cabinet exhibition of the Wolfgang Koeppen Archive Greifswald
The Greifswald-born writer Wolfgang Koeppen (1906-1996), known for his post-war novels, also wrote a number of short stories.
Koeppen's stories often contain autobiographical references to his hometown of Greifswald, his childhood in Masuria or his boat trips as a young adult. His stories are often political and resolutely opposed to National Socialism, which Koeppen believed he could still recognize in society after the Second World War.
The exhibition is dedicated to Wolfgang Koeppen's stories and shows interesting background information, which is enriched with private photographs, manuscripts and other archive material from the author's estate.
