Celtic harp meets Irish violin art in Hessenburg Manor Park: Thomas Loefke and Máire Breatnach tell musical stories between Irish folk, myths and their own compositions. In the second part, pianist Lutz Gerlach accompanies the evening live
In the picturesque estate park of Hessenburg, we welcome an old friend to a very special meeting. Thomas Loefke loves nature and his Celtic harp. He has traveled with it to many countries around the world, preferably in northern climes, and has often been a guest at the "Naturklänge". This time he is bringing along a special musician, the Irish violinist Máire Breatnach. She is a musical storyteller and modern representative of the Celtic bard guild. Her compositions and songs are about ancient myths and stories. They are the love songs of Ireland, full of longing, passion and melancholy. The legendary fiddler played for years on the world tours of "Riverdance" and also with musicians such as Nigel Kennedy, Donovan and the well-known band "Clannad". She will also be bringing her son and an accordion with her to Hessenburg. In the second part of the evening, artistic director Lutz Gerlach will also be playing the piano. He has released two CD productions with Thomas Loefke. You can look forward to a varied evening and inspiring encounters with a mix of dreamy sounds, Irish folk and a pinch of jazz.
