In cooperation with the Müritz National Park, we are showing the winners of the German Nature Film Award 2025
Dangerously Close - When Bears Kill (Director: Andreas Pichler) - Best Film in the "Man and Nature" category
After the tragic death of 26-year-old jogger Andrea Papi, the rangers led by Claudio and Roberto set off feverishly on the hunt for the "problem bear" JJ4. But as the fear of bears grows, the dispute between animal rights activists and bear opponents escalates and thorny questions arise. Should JJ4 be killed? And: who owns the forest and nature?
Together with the Müritz National Park, the Müritzeum invites you to a special nature film series. On four evenings between November 2025 and January 2026, the award-winning films from the renowned Darß Nature Film Festival 2025 will be shown in the Müritzeum cinema. Ulf Zimmermann, Head of the Müritz National Park Authority, will welcome guests to the opening event on November 7.
The films offer fascinating insights into local nature and diverse habitats around the world and deal with current nature conservation issues. The film series aims to create a sustainable understanding of the global interrelationships of our planet and to encourage a deeper examination of current environmental issues.
With this event, the German Nature Film Foundation and the umbrella organization National Natural Landscapes e. V. are taking the German Nature Film Award 2025 beyond the traditional venue of the Darß to the national parks for the first time.
The film screenings start at 7 pm. Admission is free, donations are requested.
