Summer cinema under the stars
When the sun sets over the Bodden, harbors and Baltic Sea, the time for nature films in the open air and special encounters begins on Fischland-Darß-Zingst. The Nature Film Nights give a foretaste of the 22nd Darß Nature Film Festival, which will take place on the Baltic Sea peninsula from October 6 to 11, 2026.
Film: "The Whisper of the Forests"
Patience is the most important quality that Michel Munier needs to bring with him on his forays deep into the ancient, moss-covered forests of the Vosges. Equipped with a rucksack, stick and a warm jacket, he is repeatedly drawn deep into the silence of the forest to a very special place: a fir tree that has become his hiding place. Under its branches, the old man seems to melt into nature. He has spent over eight hundred nights there, listening and watching - always on the lookout for foxes, deer, stags, lynx and the mysterious king of the forest: the capercaillie.
His son Vincent has shared his father's fascination since he was twelve years old. He has learned to read the animals' tracks from him and knows the places where they feed, hunt, build their nests and sleep. Together with Vincent's son Simon, the family trio embarks on a journey into the breathtaking beauty of nature
The film is an ode to the flora and fauna of the Vosges, a bridge between father, son and grandson, between man and nature, between photography and film, between day and night, between the personal and the universal.

Please note: The open-air stage is covered and the event will take place even if it rains. Some blankets will be provided, but please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. Drinks and snacks can be purchased on site.
