“From robotics to VR headsets: Digital Week turns Neubrandenburg into a hub for innovation and digital experiences” Digital Week 2026 in Neubrandenburg – Highlight on June 26 on Turmstraße Deputy Mayor Peter Modemann opens the digital experience mile in Neubrandenburg The “City of Four Gates,” Neubrandenburg, will once again participate in the nationwide Digital Day in 2026 and, for the first time, will bundle its activities into a Digital Week. Together with the Neubrandenburg Digital Innovation Center and numerous partners from business, education, government, and civil society, a diverse program focusing on digitalization, innovation, and digital participation will take place from June 23 to 26, 2026.
The highlight of the campaign week will be the grand Digital Mile on Turmstraße on Friday, June 26, 2026. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the downtown area will be transformed into an interactive experience mile under the motto “Hands-On Digitalization,” featuring hands-on activities, demonstrations, and information booths for all generations.
The event will be opened by Deputy Mayor Peter Modemann, who will welcome visitors together with the participating partners.
“Digitalization affects nearly every aspect of life today. With Digital Week, we want to show how digital solutions make our daily lives easier, open up new opportunities, and become accessible and tangible for all generations,” says Daniel Kersten, Digitalization Manager for the city of Neubrandenburg.
In the days leading up to the event, interested visitors can look forward to a varied program featuring workshops, lectures, and informational sessions on topics such as digital job applications, artificial intelligence, digital services, professional development, and digital skills.
At the Digital Mile on Turmstraße, the city of Neubrandenburg and its partners will showcase numerous digital applications and future technologies. Visitors can learn about digital administrative services, experience robotics, test virtual reality headsets, gain insights into smart city projects, or discover digital tools for work, education, and volunteer work.
The city administration will provide information about its digital offerings and online services. Among other things, the city will showcase online appointment scheduling, the digital travel guide, the UNSER NB participation platform, smart city projects, the digital city voucher, and the digital 3D model of the city.
Exhibitors include the German Red Cross (DRK), the ASB, and the Mitmachzentrale MV with digital offerings for seniors; the Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft MV with the MINT-Mobil; IKT-OST AöR; Smartest Coaching; Grundschule Süd with its robotics project; Data Experts; SonoBeacon, the Digital Innovation Center, and Neubrandenburg’s municipal utilities. NEUWOGES will entertain the youngest guests with a bounce house.
Digital Week is aimed at families, students, working professionals, seniors, and anyone interested in learning about and experiencing the opportunities of digitalization firsthand. The focus is on trying things out, getting involved, and personal interaction.
Neubrandenburg is once again demonstrating how digitalization can be experienced locally—in a practical, understandable, and collaboratively designed way.
