The Nord.West.Art Gallery in Grevesmühlen invites you to a mystery reading on September 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Robert Kemps, author of the book "Bedenke das Ende" —a Klützer Winkel crime writer—will read from his book, which offers a gripping look at the period of political upheaval in 1989–1990 in Northwest Mecklenburg. One dead body, two investigators, three themes: the murder case, freedom of the press, and a region that is disappearing. Admission is free. The organizers welcome donations. A discussion with the author will follow.
About the Author: Robert Kemps is a journalist and scholar. He grew up in the GDR. The Klützer Winkel region is his second home. Until 1990, the region lay in the shadow of the German-German border. This also forms the backdrop for the tension-filled plot of this crime novel. It seems as though even in this idyllic region, accession to the capitalist Federal Republic of Germany came at the expense of East Germans. And Kemps is both a witness and a reporter.
