The ISBW Familienhafen Waren cordially invites families with children ages 3 and up to a special picture book movie screening. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in the library and will focus on the important topic “My ‘No’ Counts!”
Saying “no” and recognizing one’s own boundaries are important aspects of a child’s development. Children learn to listen to their feelings and express their boundaries. Every child has the right to have their boundaries respected and to feel safe.
At the Picture Book Cinema, selected picture books are presented in large format and read aloud. In a vivid and child-friendly way, young and older visitors alike learn about children’s fundamental rights. The event not only offers exciting stories but also encourages conversation and reflection.
The program is aimed at families with children ages 3 and up and provides an accessible introduction to a socially important topic. Values such as respect, equality, and self-determination are conveyed in a playful and age-appropriate manner.
Admission is free. Please register in advance by email, phone, or in person at the City Library.
The City Library and the ISBW look forward to welcoming many visitors, both young and old.
