Aller Welt Ensemble – Introductory Workshop
Balkan, swing, Latin, or klezmer—music from north to south and east to west—the stylistic diversity of global village music forms the basis for this little musical journey. Participants have the opportunity to make music together in a group while having lots of fun.
String instruments, woodwinds, brass, accordion, piano, guitar, mandolin, etc., as well as electric bass, are all welcome. Other instruments upon request. You should bring your instruments, knowledge of musical notation, and basic skills that go beyond the beginner level.
Target audience:
Musicians (including teens aged 16 and older, or by arrangement) with open ears who are interested in stylistic and instrumental diversity.
Instructors:
• Susanne Sasse, percussionist and accordionist with Samba Confusao, Klezgoyim, and Sol Sayn Gelebt
• Martin Kratzsch, clarinetist with the groups Klezgoyim and Sol Sayn Gelebt, orchestral and theater musician, composer, and arranger
Both are experienced workshop leaders and have been working for many years with bands and diverse instrumental ensembles in the areas of ensemble playing, improvisation, and rhythm. More
