Mrs. Sonntag and her constant companion: "HOLIDAY DOESN'T WORRY"
Married life on stage continues again, performed and experienced with not a little ironic
undertones, but always charming, funny and, above all, full of music. Mrs. Sonntag and her
constant companion have been going on vacation together for many years. There is the only
couple at the next table, a visit to Ikea in the middle of an exotic Indian vacation or a sugar rush in a Parisian confectionery.
sugar rush in a Parisian patisserie. There is a clear division of roles between the two:
As a thoroughbred woman with a long red mane and a voice that varies from breathy to hearty and coarse,
Mrs. Sonntag sings and plays the instruments. She is accompanied by her husband on the piano, accordion
and tenor horn in all situations. Musical philosophizing, loving
quarrels, life's wisdoms are passionately packaged as musical comedy.
There are not many married couples who make music, but these two
are an enrichment for the Berlin scene. And if there's a crisis at home
at home - an evening with the two of them is perfect as couples therapy before or after vacation trips with
or after vacation trips with unfamiliar forced togetherness.
Familiar melodies are rewritten and played in their own musical style. In the
the interludes, married life is shown and played out in all its absurd facets in a cabaret style.
