Days of art in public space in Warnemünde
The event weekend MUSIK, KUNST & MEE(H)R is a cooperation between the Rostock and Warnemünde Tourist Board, the Office for Culture, Monument Preservation and Museums of the Hanseatic City of Rostock, the Förderverein Leuchtturm Warnemünde e.V., the agencies Kulturmeer and 3ART and other partners from trade, gastronomy and industry. As part of MUSIK, KUNST & MEE(H)R, individual artistic events of various kinds are presented in the immediate vicinity of works of art in public spaces. The events will mainly take place in the Am Strom, Alexandrinenstraße, Promenade and Stephan Jantzen Platz areas. The unplugged concerts by musicians directly at the artwork or monument will be unique. This will not only create a symbiosis of the different art forms in terms of location, but also in terms of aesthetic content, as songs will be performed that have been written specifically for the respective work of art in the public space or pick up on its thematic orientation. Local artists are predominantly involved in the events.
