New series of events at the Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum. Museum staff and members of Klöndör e.V. offer something special for visitors.
From the 2026 season, the Klöndör e.V. Museum Participation Day will take place for the first time at the Schwerin-Mueß Open-Air Museum. On the last Saturday of every month, the volunteers will spend an afternoon from 2 p.m. showing what the association's work can look like. While some people's hearts beat faster at the spinning wheel, others show how washing used to be done in the tub or mowing with a scythe in summer. Members of the newly founded blacksmiths' division heat up the forge in the village smithy. Speaking Plattdüütsch is of course also part of the experience and those who don't yet know it may find lasting inspiration here. On each of these Saturdays, the association presents one side of its skills.
Museum staff round off the Saturday offerings of the monthly Museum Join-in Days. Visitors are invited to join a public guided tour of the museum from 11 am.
The museum and the Klöndör e.V. want to create lively and attractive offers for museum visitors during the current construction work in the Mueßer Museumsdorf with illustrative events such as the Museum Join-in Day.
Regular museum admission applies. No extra costs for the additional offers.
