Composition workshop for students of the Kreismusikschule and all interested parties
As a lecturer at YARO Rostock (Young Academy Rostock), Leon Kropp is responsible for the music theory training of highly talented young musicians in the fields of classical music and jazz. He also regularly prepares students for aptitude tests at music academies.
As a composer, he is particularly fascinated by electronic music and innovative forms of sound production as well as contrapuntal thinking on various levels. He is currently researching composition pedagogy with a particular focus on digital games and their potential for creative learning processes.
The composition workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to experiment with self-recorded sounds and develop their own music from them. Together we will explore the soundscape of the room, record noises and sounds and then edit them digitally on the computer. Step by step, we will use this material to create our own little piece of music.
