Competition for young talents
The guitar competition will take place for the first time this year as part of the Müritz Guitar Festival.
It is aimed at young guitarists residing in the Federal Republic of Germany and aims to be a meeting place for anyone interested in learning the art of guitar playing. The aim is to promote making music together and to offer young talents a stage.
The competition is divided into five age groups: from the youngest participants aged six to eight up to teenagers aged nineteen. The program is freely selectable and should include at least two solo pieces from different eras or styles. Depending on the age group, the playing time is between three and fifteen minutes. The jury consists of the members of the Tritonus Guitar Trio (Gergely Szurgyi, Bálint Varga and Levente Molnár).
All participants are awarded gold, silver or bronze and receive a certificate and valuable prizes such as sheet music, strings and guitar accessories.
A special highlight is the special prize from the Hanika company, which is donating a concert guitar for the most outstanding talent in the competition.
The competition will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Jost Reinhold Hall of the Kreismusikschule Müritz in Waren (Müritz). Listening is free of charge.
This will be followed by the final concert with guitarist David Angulo Arce from Costa Rica and the award ceremony.
Registration is possible until May 17, 2026 by e-mail to mgf-wettbewerb@web.de. The participation fee is 10 euros.
We look forward to your registrations!
