Bülow belonged to Schorssow as a secondary estate until 1816. In this year, the Braunschweig merchant Johann Heinrich Degener acquired the estate and subsequently had the inconspicuous house rebuilt in a classical style: The portico with Tuscan colossal columns, the symmetry of the basement and narrow upper floor windows, the flat side risalits and the pilasters on all the façades were created at that time
