The current owners, the von Harnier family, will open the doors to visitors for the Midsummer Remise on June 20 and 21. The family and the Förderverein Denkmal- und Naturschutz e.V. will be on site for questions and discussions. With a colorful market (arts and crafts) in the castle courtyard, castle café, live music on Sunday, birds of prey show and vintage car rides, Spantekow Castle has a lot to offer on Saturday and Sunday.
Spantekow Castle is a monument of national importance near Anklam and one of the oldest Renaissance moated castles in northern Germany. Spantekow was founded in the 16th century by Ulrich von Schwerin and his wife Anna von Arnim. Since 1999, the complex has been extensively renovated in stages. The foundations of the original 13th century ring castle are a real attraction today.
The entire complex with a usable area of 2513 square meters offers unique conditions for the establishment of a congress, business or cultural center with vacation apartments or tourist use with attractive gastronomy and is looking for a solvent investor or operator with a long-term lease.
