A concert by Collegium musicum Schwerin e.V., soloist: Hyewon Lee, soprano, on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 5 p.m. in the church of St. Georg zu Kirch Stück
On Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 5.00 pm, the Förderverein der Kir-che zu Kirch Stück e.V. is organizing a concert afternoon with the Collegium musicum Schwerin e.V. and the soprano Hyewon Lee. The concert will take place in the church of St. Georg zu Kirch Stück, An der Chaussee 3, 19069 Kirch Stück.
The Collegium musicum Schwerin e.V. has been in existence since 1931 as a community of amateur musicians, making it the oldest amateur orchestra in Mecklenburg. In terms of its concert activities, the orchestra is not inferior to many a professional association: The chronicle counts over 800 concerts, with 3800 works by around 180 composers. The soprano Hyewon Lee is an outstanding singer who is known for her elegant artistry and impressive stage presence. As a concert soloist, she has performed at major venues in her native South Korea and on international stages.
This Sunday's program includes songs for soprano and strings by Antonio Rosetti and Peter Warlock, the "Capriol Suite" by Peter Warlock, the Inter-mezzo Sinfonico from "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Pietro Mascagni. These pieces will be framed by classical works: an overture by an anonymous composer and a symphony by J.W. Hertel.
