This year, only a few days after Easter, we dance into May. Together with the Sellin Polar Bear and the Ostseefanfaren we go to the Sellin main beach to light the fire.
The month of May with its yellow rape fields, horn fish and rhubarb is welcomed in the Baltic resort Sellin with a big May procession through the Wilhelmstraße. Accompanied by the Sellin mascot, the polar bear, and the Baltic Sea fanfares as well as the comrades of the volunteer fire department, the Sellin people and their guests start at the corner of Wilhelmstraße and Granitzer Straße at about 17:00.
Arrived at the main beach at the pier, the maypole will be set up and the big May fire will be lit. With children's program, live music, a dinner on the hand and drinks will be celebrated into the Walpurgis Night with Baltic Sea view.
