Film trilogy about the artist by Johann Camut
A day with Mary Bauermeister (1934-2023)
Mary Bauermeister was one of the few internationally influential women on the avant-garde art scene in the post-war period. She is considered the mother of the Fluxus movement. She had a complementary relationship with Karlheinz Stockhausen, one of the most important composers of the second half of the 20th century. She lived with him and his first wife for several years and was later married to him for several years. From the early 1970s, she lived in Rösrath near Cologne. Artists from all over the world met in her studio. Mary Bauermeister was closely associated with Johannes Heimrath and Lara Mallien, who dedicated a portrait to her in the magazine Oya. All the more reason for us to look forward to this day with film documents about Mary Bauermeister's life and work. One and one is three - Mary Bauermeister (7.9.1934 - 2.3.2023)
