Arts and crafts market
It has been a tradition for many years that the Wismar Martin Market opens the fall and pre-Christmas season. This year, the gates of the Wismar market hall will once again open from October 16-18 for the large artisan market. The numerous artisans will be offering everything from fragrant soaps from their own production to creative children's fashions, stylish floristry, a wide variety of accessories and wooden boards made from different types of wood. Extraordinary jewelry ideas or imaginative fashion creations take up a lot of space. Traditional ceramics or brushes in all imaginable sizes are also looking forward to their new owners. You can watch a chair weaver or a glass bead maker at work. As every year, the volunteers of the Wismar Archive Association will also be there with their books, posters and postcards - the proceeds from the sales will be used to restore and digitize the valuable originals in the Wismar city archive. Warm snacks, spices and teas from all over the world, a beekeeper and Scandinavian liquorice are already tempting visitors of all ages at the gates of the market hall. Speaking of which, a craft corner was also set up especially for them. While parents explore the market's atmospheric offerings in peace and quiet, children can make and craft to their heart's content on Saturday and Sunday under the expert guidance of the "Licht am Horizont" association. The wide range of snacks on offer, organized by the Hansekontor Wismar, is available on all three days of the market. The Wismar St. Martin's Market is open on Friday, October 16 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, on Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no entrance fee.
