A mix of blues, country, cinema, soul, and jazz
After two years of production, many ideas, and quite a bit of hard work, “Drifter,” drummer Mark Rose’s first solo album, is finished and ready for takeoff.
With the MarkRoseGrooveEnsemble, he’s taking a record-release tour featuring music that blends blues, country, cinema, soul, and jazz. No existing genre quite fits—a new one is needed: WORLDBEAT. Drum-driven songs, tracks with plenty of room for improvisation, and stories drawn from real life.
Christian Florié provides the accompanying guitar sounds and atmospheres; he was deeply involved in the creation of the music and consistently adds his own distinctive touch. Thomas Hoppe plays bass the way only Thomas Hoppe plays bass—electric, acoustic, sometimes completely raw, sometimes completely distorted, always in tune with the song, and always fresh. The same goes for Rudi Feuerbach, a blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, and virtuoso on his instrument. All four are distinct personalities who come together as a band to create this unique music for this one evening. The audience is always right in the middle of it all, experiencing the show live.
Music for the quartet and the audience—Saturday night in Neustrelitz City, with Mark Rose on drums, Thomas Hoppe on bass, Christian Florié on guitar, and Rudi Feuerbach on guitar. November 7, 2026—one evening, one kind of music—stay tuned.
Tickets (€22.00 / reduced €14.00) for the event are available online at https://www.basiskulturfabrik.de/scheunen-veranstaltungen/ or at the door.
