On August 22, the town of Mönkebude invites you to a special maritime evening in the beach and harbor area. Let yourself be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of the Szczecin Lagoon and enjoy a summer evening filled with music, fellowship, and maritime tradition.
Starting at 8:00 p.m., the Ahlbeck Shanty Choir will take visitors on a musical journey across the world’s oceans with well-known sea shanties, traditional shanties, and maritime melodies. The singers inspire the audience with their passion for maritime songs and create the perfect atmosphere for singing along and swaying to the music. The choir is known far beyond the region for its performances and has been keeping the tradition of sea shanties alive for many years.
As twilight settles over the lagoon, a special highlight awaits guests at 10:00 p.m.: a colorful fireworks display that will light up the sky over Mönkebude and bring the evening to a festive close.
