After her tragic death in 1962, Marilyn Monroe became a feminist role model for many by fighting for a place in the Hollywood chauvinist ring. This dance drama sheds light on what it was like behind the glittering façade of the actress, who was degraded by others to a mere sex symbol, the diligence she put into her career, the connections she made and the family disappointments Marilyn had to contend with.
