On the second weekend of Advent, the Neue Markt and the “Werleburg” visitor center in the island town of Malchow will be transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland!
Advent Market and Christmas Street in Malchow
Werleburg Castle and the New Market invite you to enjoy mulled wine, treats, crafts, ice stock shooting, a tire toboggan run, the Pony Express, Santa Claus during his office hours, and a nostalgic chain carousel atmosphere. Highlights: Performances by the Fleesensee School choir and the Mee(h)rklang Choir, as well as Christmas caroling at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Bonus: Freshly cut Malchow Christmas trees available. The adjacent city library will also open its doors on Saturday for some Advent magic. From 2 to 6 p.m., you can browse the book flea market or craft small works of art from old books.
The cheerleaders will perform their latest show on Saturday at 3 p.m.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., you can once again dance the polonaise with the singing Santa Claus in the Werleburg hall.
Throughout the event: festive atmosphere at the Neuer Markt & Christmas tree sale, Christmas shopping, crafts, and face painting in the heated Werleburg, curling, a tire toboggan run, and a chain carousel, as well as cozy Christmas shopping in the heated Werleburg.
On Saturday, December 5, there will also be many booths along the “Christmas Street”—Güstrower Straße—from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Please note: On Saturday, Güstrower Straße will be closed to public traffic.
