Low German stories by Bernhard Trittelvitz, a "Pasterjung ut Rappin, Rügen" (a pastor's son from Rappin, Rügen), read by Thea Teßmer. Musical accompaniment on organ and piano: Alex Bergstedt.
For years, the former teacher Thea Teßmer has been known as a Low German reader on Rügen. Her readings focus on topics such as "Rügen legends", "Animals in literature and music" and "Summer stories". This time she introduces the doctor and writer Bernhard Trittelvitz. He mainly wrote Pomeranian local stories in Low German.
Trittelvitz was born in 1878 as the son of a pastor in Wusterbarth in the district of Belgard in Pomerania. In 1882, his father was transferred to Rappin on the island of Rügen and the family moved. As a boy, he initially attended the village school in Rappin and also received private tuition from his father until 1892, when he attended the Pädagogium Putbus. He graduated from there in 1899.
