The Cat's Back, alias Anne Harmsen sings!
The Cat's Back, alias ANNE HARMSEN, is an event! With accordion, piano and loop station, she performs an evening full of rousing songs on her own. With virtuosity and great ease, The Cat's Back moves back and forth between blues, folk, rock'n'roll and ballads. Born in Amsterdam, The Cat's Back is versatile and has a powerful voice. She interprets well-known songs by Nina Simone, Édith Piaf, Tom Waits, Alice Merton, Jacques Brel and many others and sings her own songs in her unmistakable style. Whether in German, English, French or Dutch, these songs are beautifully wistful and tender, tongue-in-cheek, poignant and refreshing. Anne Harmsen opens the summer concert season with her love songs in the beautiful rose garden of the vicarage.
