Lotta St Joan makes modern folk music for melancholy souls. She has been composing, producing and performing her songs since 2019. Her music is reminiscent of classic folk greats such as Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez, but also allows for contemporary influences.
Lotta has been performing on stage for many years, both solo and in various formations. With her newly formed band in 2026, she now presents her songs in a new sound. At her side are Cameron Laing (guitar), Sam Hanlan (guitar) and Gabe Miller (violin) - three musicians who expand Lotta's characteristically sublime songs with their own musical language. Together they create a sound between intimacy and orchestral expanse, combining folk elements, indie melancholy and cinematic dynamics.
