The Seagulls play old jazz classics with their own arrangements. There are many appearances in jazz clubs, at festivals, on the radio etc.
The jazz band "Swinging Seagulls" was formed in 2016 and is dedicated to the swing and standards of the early 20s and 30s.

The band has performed in many jazz clubs and festivals in Germany and abroad and has won the "WDR-Stadtmusik" competition. During his time in Bonn, he played in various bands in Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt and Berlin. He has been performing successfully with the DJA in the Kühlungsborn area for years.

The "Seagulls" now regularly give concerts in hotels and jazz clubs on the Baltic coast, but have also performed in other areas, such as jazz clubs in Berlin.
On the occasion of one concert, the President of the Leibniz Association, Prof. Kleiner, wrote:
"Seagulls - animals of longing on wings, approachable and majestic at the same time, move in wide circles anchored at home, evoking vastness and roaring. This is exactly how they sound and appear to their audience, the gentlemen of the Swinging Seagulls, who have melodically livened up the entire Leibniz community ... unwaveringly musical, cheerfulserious, powerful and rhythmic, with standards and the unconventional, when they open up spaces for sound and feeling - far beyond place and moment."
