Margit Auer is a star of the German-language children’s book scene: With her bestselling series *Die Schule der magischen Tiere* (The School of Magical Animals), Margit Auer has won the hearts of young readers. This afternoon, you’ll get to experience her up close and be there when NDR records its “Bücherwurm” podcast live at our venue. Margit Auer will read from two books in the series, be interviewed—and you’ll get to participate as part of the audience: Here, you can finally ask everything you’ve always wanted to know about *The School of Magical Animals*!

Margit Auer was born in 1967 in Mühldorf am Inn and, after studying journalism, worked for many years as a local journalist and reporter. Her first children’s book was published in 2010, and she achieved her big breakthrough in 2013 with the successful series *The School of Magical Animals*, which has sold millions of copies and been translated into numerous languages. Today she lives in Upper Bavaria and travels throughout Germany and many other countries for readings.
