Ina Rex was born in Klein Zicker on Rügen / Mönchgut and spent many years of her life in Rostock, where she also died. She is an - unfortunately almost unknown - writer of the late 19th century.

The actress Christina Kraft grew up on the Mönchgut peninsula on Island of Rügen and runs the Theater NordNordOst, which performs various plays on the island and beyond.
