On October 24, Library Day is celebrated nationwide—more than 8,000 libraries in Germany serve as a sort of second living room, a so-called “third place,” for over 182 million visitors each year. Today, libraries are more than just a home for books—they are popular gathering places and indispensable learning spaces. People of all generations come together here. National Library Day invites everyone to discover libraries as open spaces for education, information, and social interaction.
Come to the Ribnitz Library and join the digital scavenger hunt across three floors. Using tablets and the Actionbound app, you’ll explore your library and make exciting discoveries along the way. Keep your eyes peeled: a few surprises are hidden for you!
Library Day is an initiative of the German Library Association (Deutscher Bibliotheksverband e.V.).
