On Saturday, September 20, the gospel choir and band from the Rostock Youth Church will be performing for the first time at St. Paul's Church in Schwaan at the invitation of the Schwaan Cultural Promotion Association. The choir has been a fixture on the Mecklenburg choir scene for 20 years and delights audiences on large stages as well as in small village churches. Choir director Elke Braun says: "Gospel is music that gets into your legs and under your skin. When this choir sings, hearts and boundaries melt. Singing in a choir has something of the Highlanders about it. It's not just sounds; energy flows, it's incredible! And there is something magical about polyphony in particular; no matter how beautifully each individual can sing, the magic of polyphony can only be experienced together. And when this "space" in the concert expands from the choir to the audience, we all know exactly why we are doing this.
Let yourself be infected by this magic and celebrate with us when the motto in Schwaan is: "Let's celebrate"!
