Arguably the most significant piece of ceremonial furniture designed by the famous Prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel and preserved in a public collection has been on display at Ludwigslust Palace since 1822. The lecture explores the fascinating art-historical aspects of this spectacular piece of furniture as well as its successful restoration in the run-up to the reopening of the west wing of Ludwigslust Palace.
