A morning workshop on habitats in the natural garden. How can we easily integrate nesting sites, feeding opportunities and insect-friendly places into our gardens and increase diversity?
Nature gardens are not pieces of wilderness left to themselves, but natural spaces designed with specific knowledge that are important for the preservation of biodiversity. Native plants and different areas in the garden provide shelter and food for a variety of insects and other animals.
With often simple measures, we can provide bumblebees, beetles, butterflies etc. with food, nesting sites and hibernation quarters. Learn about exciting connections and take away ideas for your own garden or balcony. Natural garden designer Iris Diederich will give a 3-hour workshop on "Habitats in the natural garden". If you haven't had enough after that, there will be a second session on September 18 on the basic planning of natural gardens.
Followed by coffee and cake in the garden (no registration required).
