When Cuban passion, Argentine virtuosity, and Berlin’s jazz tradition come together.
Some concerts entertain. Others stay with you.
LATIN · SALSA · BLUES is a musical gathering of extraordinary personalities whose paths have led them through Cuba, Argentina, and Germany—united by a common language: music that moves you.
At the center of it all is Mayelis Guyat. Born in Guantánamo, she sang along to every song she heard on the radio even as a child. That dream blossomed into an impressive career: tours throughout Cuba, participation in the legendary “longest son in the world,” lead singer of Cotó y su Eco del Caribe, and a celebrated musical theater performer on stages across Europe. Today she lives in Berlin and brings exactly what sets great singers apart: a voice full of warmth, rhythm, and personality—carried by the zest for life found in the Cuban musical tradition.
At her side is the Argentine pianist Carly Quiroz, whose musical journey began in childhood. As a multi-award-winning pianist, composer, producer, and arranger, he combines classical training with South American passion and improvisational freedom. His collaborations with international artists shape a distinctive sound that blends elegance, energy, and musical sophistication.
Michael Joch, one of Berlin’s most versatile drummers and percussionists, provides the rhythmic foundation. For more than three decades, he has moved effortlessly between big band, jazz, musicals, pop, and international touring productions. His experience lends every groove precision, depth, and an impressive lightness.
The quartet is rounded out by guitarist Charlie Eitner, whose name enjoys an outstanding reputation far beyond the German jazz scene. His distinctive playing style combines virtuoso technique with lyrical expressiveness. Blues, jazz, and Latin American rhythms blend in his solos to create musical stories full of tension and emotion.
Together, they create a concert that deliberately transcends stylistic boundaries. Salsa meets blues, jazz encounters Latin American rhythms, and improvisation blends with rousing grooves. At times intense and intimate, at times full of energy and danceable—always authentic and performed with great musical class.
Look forward to an evening full of joy in playing, extraordinary musical encounters, and artists who connect with their audience not only through technical brilliance but, above all, through passion and personality.
LATIN · SALSA · BLUES —a concert that’s not just meant to be heard, but to be experienced.
