Grab a lantern, join the procession, and warm up by the fire: The Graal-Müritz Volunteer Fire Department invites children and families to a lantern parade through town.
When it gets dark early, the lanterns light up in Graal-Müritz. Bring your own lantern—whether homemade or store-bought, with stars, a moon, or a candle—and join many other children, parents, and grandparents as we parade through the streets in the evening.
The meeting point is the elementary school. The procession sets off from there at 5:15 p.m., accompanied by the volunteer fire department. The destination is the Graal-Müritz fire station. There, you’ll find delicious food, hot drinks for young and old, and a campfire where everyone can warm up. (Maybe a firefighter will even show you what the inside of a big fire truck looks like?)
Tip for parents: Warm clothes and a lantern with an LED light will make the evening more relaxing for the little ones.
