On November 6, 2026, the Neighborhood Management and the Trägerverbund III invite you to the Festival of Lights on Berliner Platz. With lantern making, blacksmithing activities, games, treats, a light show from 5:30 pm and a lantern parade from 6:00 pm. Supported by the Patchwork Center and the ZiMT neighborhood meeting place.
On 6 November 2026, the neighbourhood management Quartier63 and the Trägerverbund III - an association of all open child and youth work facilities - together with Die Platte lebt e.V., the Dreeschkindflotte, the Patchwork Center and the Nachbarschaftstreff ZiMt are organizing a big festival of lights followed by a lantern parade on Berliner Platz in Schwerin.
Program (14:30-17:30)
A colorful hands-on program invites children, families and neighbors to spend the afternoon together:
Lantern and light crafting
Blacksmithing activities
Games and creative activities
Stick bread and campfire
Make your own waffles, candy floss and chips
Lantern soup and other treats
Light show & parade
17:30: Surprise light show on the wasteland at the upper Berliner Platz
18:00: Start of the lantern parade (meeting point: upper Berliner Platz, level with the former "Eiskristall")
The route leads to Keplerplatz, where the evening ends with music.
