Kotelmannfest 2025 - family fun and Kaiser-Mania

History:

With a mixture of games, fun, live music and lots of surprises, the 7th edition of the Kotelmannfest in Altentreptow on Sunday,03.08.2025 offers the best entertainment for the whole family. There is plenty to experience throughout the day on the extensive grounds of the Klosterberg. The event will be officially opened at 10 a.m. by the namesake "Martin Kotelmann" with loud support from the Grischow 1894/1992 shooting club. At 10.15 a.m. , an open-air church service will be held by the Protestant parish of St. Petri on Fritz-Reuter-Platz next to the sports hall.

Afterwards, there will be several hands-on activities for visitors. Young people and adults can put their marksmanship to the test with traditional crossbow and archery on the meadow by the former convent. Anyone who loves horses and would like to take a seat on the back of one of these proud animals should definitely pay a visit to the Altentreptow Equestrian Sports Club. The Tierschutzverein Altentreptow e.V. (Altentreptow Animal Welfare Association) gives anyone interested an insight into the work of the animal shelter on Klosterberg.

Unfortunately, "AT International Airport" is not allowed to open for the day. However, the "Neubrandenburg/Trollenhagen" airfield is at least an equivalent substitute in the immediate vicinity and invites its passengers to do so,

Altentreptow and the Tollensetal valley at lofty heights in a gyrocopter - an unforgettable flying adventure! Those who prefer to stay on the ground can take a ride over the Klosterberg in a 100-year-old motorized carriage. As in previous years, the event agency Zwergenfeier from Altentreptow will be providing games and sports. There is also plenty to discover at the numerous stalls along the merchant and food mile. Everyone can try their luck at the raffle and take home some great prizes. So it's worth staying until the raffle, which is scheduled for around 5.30 pm at the stage by the Großer Stein .

The "Stargarder Edelleute" dance group from the Stargarder Burgverein will be performing in the afternoon from 2.30 pm. Of course, the organizers have once again been able to attract a celebrity surprise guest this year. In 1860, the Crown Prince and later King Wilhelm IV himself visited the Kotelmann Festival in Altentreptow. Now, exactly 190 years later, a real "Kaiser" is doing the honors. This is Germany's most successful Roland Kaiser double, Steffen Heidrich. Dresden, the city of Kaiser mania, is his home. With his outward resemblance, authentic voice and rousing live act, he brings Roland Kaiser close enough for the audience to touch. True to his motto: "There is only one who is more real", Steffen Heidrich will perform the greatest Kaiser hits such as "Joana", "Santa Maria" and "Warum hast du nicht nein gesagt" live from 3 pm.

To get in the mood for the Kotelmannfest, there will be another musical highlight on Saturday, 02.08.2025. The Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra will present the family concert "Hansel and Gretel" on Fritz-Reuter-Platz at 2.30 pm. In case of bad weather, the performance will be moved to the neighboring sports hall. Thanks to the support of the Treptower Kultur- und Heimatverein, admission is free and with coffee and cake it is sure to be an unforgettable experience in this ambience.
