The actor David C. Bunners reads excerpts from Konrad Wolf's war diary and letters (1942 - 1945)
At the age of just 17, Konrad Wolf, the later famous DEFA director and son of the doctor and playwright Friedrich Wolf, goes to the front. He fights for the Red Army, as the Wolf family lives in exile in the Soviet Union after fleeing Germany. Like his peers in Moscow, Konrad Wolf did his military service and marched from the Caucasus through the Ukraine and Poland to Germany. In 1945, he was part of the troops that took Berlin. In his diary, he notes down what happens to him. The actor David C. Bunners reads excerpts from this contemporary document, which unfolds a special impact through Wolf's personal view of the war.
Born in Neubrandenburg, David C. Bunners is known as an actor and producer. He works freelance on stage, for film and television and as a voice-over artist for dubbing, audio books and radio plays.
